TOM RICHARDS MARCHES AND FIGHTS FOR YOU!

What does this mean for YOU!

  • Work to reduce the property tax burden through careful, transparent budgeting – how? By putting pressure on the Illinois State General Assembly as well as Illinois Senators and Congressmen and Congresswomen to lower Illinois State Taxes (including State, Federal and Local Property Taxes)
  • Support strong and properly funded public safety services with substantial savings achieved by minimizing financial waste in our McHenry Board, cutting the Salaries of all Part-time Board Members including the large salary of the Board’s Chairman
  • Promote responsible development that protects our environment and preserves the character of our communities; insist that all Board Members put pressure on the local Park District to PUT BACK wheelchair access to Park Buildings and structures for easy access to displays, picnic areas and other areas currently inaccessible to wheelchair users
  • Encourage local business growth and job creation through discussions with Business Leaders in McHenry County
  • Insist that any new spending be fully offset through responsible financial management
  • Significantly lower prices for all families including food, energy / electricity, property taxes, and the cost of childcare
  • Allow students in Trade Schools, Colleges and Universities access to Low-interest Loans which will help them to receive a wide range of professional and trade degrees without having to pay HUGE sums of cash they and their families cannot afford. Today, the future professionals of this county can only apply for and receive PRIVATE LOANS with extortionate interest rates
  • Increase transparency and accountability in county government
